Refreshed after a good night’s sleep, you are ready to tackle your first African adventure.
The Panorama Route includes a variety of scenery such as spectacular canyons, rugged mountains, misty waterfalls, and tranquil lakes. The route passes Ohrigstad and leads into the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve and Blyde River Canyon. The 26-kilometre-long valley is one of the most important natural wonders of South Africa. Viewpoints, spanning several hundred meters down into the Canyon, are situated all along the Panoramic Route.
North of the route lies the Three Rondavels, the Blyde River Canyon’s most striking feature. Huge rocks resemble mushrooms growing out of the mountain and are similar in appearance to traditional African round huts, namely Rondavels.
Bourke’s Luck Potholes are a complex of smooth, cylindrical potholes and natural rock sculptures that have been hollowed out by water erosion through the Blyde River over millions of years.

Bring your camera; we’re headed for Cape Point at the southwestern tip of the Cape Peninsula, and the most spectacular views in the world. The drive there is just as inspiring, passing steep mountains, secluded coves, and sweeping beaches, as well as villages and fishing communities.
Our tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast, passing through the cosmopolitan suburb of Sea Point then Camps Bay with its glorious views of the Twelve Apostles, part of the Table Mountain range. We’ll continue to the fishing village of Hout Bay, one of Cape Town’s best-kept secrets. Here there is an option to take a short boat trip to Duiker Island (for own account & time permitting) to view the Cape Fur Seals, which inhabit the island.
From here we travel to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, comprising over 17 300 acres of indigenous fauna and flora. Here we have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife.
Following the coastline along False Bay, we’ll return to Cape Town by way of Simon’s Town, where we visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach (for own account), Fish Hoek fishing village and Muizenberg.
