Day 1
Entabeni Safari Conservancy
Arrive early morning at OR Tambo International Airport, where we have organised a meet & greet service to assist you with your tour documents, a quick briefing over coffee and your rental car collection.
Thereafter you are on your way to start your Africa Adventure!
Arrive in time for your first open vehicle game drive and discover the wildlife together with your game ranger.
Entabeni Safari Conservancy – “The Place of the Mountain”, is situated in the World Heritage “Waterberg Biosphere” of the Waterberg Region of the Limpopo Province, less than a three hour drive north of Johannesburg. This malaria-free Reserve boasts six different Lodges set in 22000ha of wilderness. The Upper Escarpment offers majestic, craggy rock formations and wide-open grass plains. This is separated from the Lower Escarpment by 600m cliffs. The Lower Escarpment is approximately three degrees warmer than the Upper Escarpment and comprises of sandveld vegetation and a series of wetlands. For easy access both the Upper and Lower Escarpments have their own entrance and care should be taken to ensure that you arrive at the correct Entrance Gate.

Day 2 & 3
Entabeni Safari Conservancy
The following 2 days are filled with all the safari activities you could muster and imagine.
Open safari vehicles and experienced rangers will turn each and every game drive into a memorable experience.
Included: Entabeni Wildside Safari Camp
Nestled against the majestic cliffs of the Waterberg Mountain you can experience the wild side of the bush at Wildside Safari Camp. Stay close to nature in tented chalets on wooden decks with unique en-suite bathrooms.
Traditional South African hospitality and superior cuisine are served in the informal lounge/bar area which extends to the boma where the roaring campfire creates a warm atmosphere and the perfect end to an exhilarating day in the bush. Dining is informal with dinner served in either the restaurant or the boma and the pool area is ideal for light lunches. Waterberry Picnic Spot and the Marula Boma are the ideal venues for the special “Out in the Bush” meal experience.

Day 4
Entabeni Safari Conservancy to Paternoster
You’ll have an early start today, driving back to Johannesburg Airport, where you drop your rental and board your plane for your flight to Cape Town.
Upon arrival, follow the signs to your rental car company, where you collect your rental and take off towards the West Coast. Drive past Yzerfontein & Langebaan, drive through Vredenburg and arrive at beautiful Paternoster, your home for the next two nights.
Paternoster is one of the prettiest little villages on the West Coast, famous for its traditional white fisherman cottages and endless pristine sandy beaches. Until today, fishing is one of the most important income sources for the locals, with Snoek being the main catch. From November to April, Crayfish (West Coast Lobster) becomes one of the main attractions. The typical coastal fynbos grows in abundance in the surrounding nature reserve.

Day 5
Paternoster
Not only a fantastic place to enjoy the beach but during certain times of the year this area turns into a botanical wonderland for wild flowers. Various National Parks and the famous Columbine lighthouse are a must-see.
Day 6
Paternoster to Franschhoek
We suggest a little detour on your way to Franshoek: Drive back to Vredenburg, then Mooresburg and stop for lunch and olive tasting in Riebeeck Kasteel. Thereafter, head to Wellington, then Paarl and arrive in Franshoek. You will come past some of the most beautiful wine estates and breathtaking landscapes.
Franschhoek, the French corner, dates back to 1688 when 200 French Huguenots were granted land in the area. The Huguenot Memorial and the Huguenot Museum give insight into the lives of the European refugees torn apart by religious wars. The village is surrounded by mountains and has a unique flair, almost that of a French village. Some of the best restaurants in South Africa offer outstanding cuisine. More than 20 wine farms are part of the Franschhoek wine route and are open for tastings.

Day 7
Franschhoek
Take a stroll in Franshoek’s village center and understand why Franshoek is called the “French corner” with its French culture and heritage so palpable.
We highly recommend jumping onto the Wine Tram, hopping on and off, and staying as long as you please in one wine estate.

Day 8
Franschhoek to Hermanus
Beautiful scenery will be all around you as you drive right through the mountains towards Hermanus. Your accommodation is right in the middle of Hermanus, You can discover the town with all its highlights and restaurants on foot. In season, you can watch whales from land or from a whale cruiser.

Day 9
Hermanus
Hermanus is situated at the end of Walker Bay. This holiday village is well known for whales that come here from July to November to mate and calve. The Southern Right whale is the most common to be seen. Many walking trails lead through nearby nature reserves with unique fynbos. A visit to one of the wineries of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley is recommended as well as a drive to the nearby village of Stanford.
Day 10
Hermanus to Cape Peninsula
One of the most beautiful places to stay as a family is without a doubt Nordhoek, situated on the Southern Peninsula next to the most amazing beach you can imagine. Enjoy the beach life, sunsets and the facilities your resort has to offer…
Extending into the Atlantic, the rugged Cape Peninsula marks the southwestern most point of the African continent. It features pristine white-sand beaches met by craggy mountains interspersed with quaint little coastal towns. Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope can be found along the southern end of this spectacularly scenic peninsula, while the northern tip is crowned by the world-famous Table Mountain which towers over the city of Cape Town. Visitors can look forward to a wide selection of activities including: hopping on a boat ride to Seal Island from Hout Bay, exploring the magnificent Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, and viewing the colony of African penguins on Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town. Don’t miss the opportunity to take in the breathtaking views from the top of Table Mountain.

Day 11 & 12
Cape Peninsula
For the next two days, we’ll recommend exploring the Cape Peninsula on your own.
Cape Point, the Penguins at Boulders Beach and Constantia Wine Valley are waiting for you to be discovered.
Cape Town is just 30 minutes away, have High Tea on Table Mountain and visit the Waterfront, as well as Robben Island!

A trip up Table Mountain is quite rightly one of the first things a tourist wants to do when arriving in Cape Town. Once on the top, 1000m above the city below, you are rewarded with spectacular 360 views. Take your time and enjoy this unique environment, go for a walk, or have a bit to eat at the restaurant with arguably one of the best views possible.

There are few better ways to enjoy a sunset than from the top of Table Mountain, with a 360-degree view of the Cape Peninsula’s mountains, oceans, and suburbs below.

Situated between Robben Island and Table Mountain in the heart of Cape Town’s working harbour, the V&A Waterfront has become South Africa’s most visited destination. Set against a backdrop of magnificent sea and mountain views, exciting shopping and entertainment venues are intermingled with imaginative office locations, world-class hotels and luxury apartments. The Waterfront is the heart of the tourist industry in Cape Town.
Recommended: Robben Island
Robben Island, about 12 kilometers away from Cape Town, was a notorious prison during apartheid times. For over 30 years, political prisoners were kept here in isolation. One of the prisoners was Nelson Mandela. Today, Robben Island is a museum and World Heritage site. Visits include the maximum security prison and the quarry. The departure for a half-day tour is several times a day from the V & A Waterfront.

With your holiday coming to an end, drive back to Cape Town International Airport, where you drop your rental and check-in for your flight back home.
