Itinerary
The train departs Pretoria mid-morning, and once you have had time to settle in to your suite and meet your butler, you can join everyone in the dining cars once lunch is served. The route travels through Bela-Bela, named this for its mineral waters, and Modimole.
High tea will be served in the lounge and observation cars, while the train crosses the Tropic of Capricorn
Dinner is a formal affair, served in the vintage carriages. The train crosses the South Africa / Zimbabwe border at Beitbridge

Today the journey continues through Baobab country, en-route to Bulawayo. This is the second largest city in Zimbabwe and the industrial capital of the country.

Today’s route takes you along one of the world’s longest straight railway line stretches, 114 kilometers in total, passing through the village of Gwaai (Ndebele word for tobacco) and Dete, a village alomng the eastern edge of Hwange National Park. A game drive will be on offer at The Hide in Hwange National Park. Known for its large elephnat herds, lion pride and wild dogs, this is a definite excursion to enjoy.
