Azura offers many activities, for all ages, so the next few days can be filled with experiences.
The Red Dune & Crocodile Lakes Drive departs from the lodge in a game viewing type vehicle, passing through the many villages on the island where you have a change to encounter some of the local communities. You could also try some of the wild fruits from the indigenous trees en-route. As the island is wild, keep an eye out for the local wildlife, namely some reptiles, birds and insects which can only be found on this island. The Nile crocodile can also be found on the banks of the three lakes on the island.Best viewed from afar.
On the “Wild Side” of the island, called this because of the strong winds and waves coming in from the Mozambique Channel and Indian Ocean, you can walk along the beach before hiking up the Red Dune, which offers amazing views of Benhuerra island. (Costs not included in the price)
