Frequently asked questions

Yes you can, depending on which side of the Victoria Falls you are visiting. If you are on the Zambian side, you can go on a safari in the Zambezi National Park, which is close to the Falls.

Aquila Game Reserve is the closest safari to Cape Town, although many travellers who are coming to South Africa will prefer to have a Kruger Park safari, even if they are starting their holiday in Cape Town. The Kruger is just a few hours away, if you are flying.

October to November are not ideal times to visit the Victoria Falls. At this time of the year the water level is at it’s lowest and the weather is rather uncomfortable.

It is best to go to the Victoria Falls just after the summer’s rainy season, from February to May. If the summer rainfall has been particularly heavy, the Falls will flood right into July.

There are flights from Cape Town to the Victoria Falls. These take around 3 and a half hours.
